G.A.P Adventures Signs SpecTec Contract

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

December 22, 2008

The M/S Expedition was purchased in June 2008 by G.A.P Adventures to be re-launched with a polar expedition program. The vessel was built in Denmark in 1972, and has been operating in coastal waters around Scandinavia for 15 years. She is planned to be re-launched by the end of January 2009.

Installations of SpecTec’s AMOS Maintenance & Purchase program will begin as soon as the vessel has been rebuilt in the beginning of 2009.

The 344.5 ft long ship can accommodate 120 passengers and is now undergoing a multi-million dollar refurbishment in order to offer travelers a unique and comfortable way of exploring the Polar Regions.
