IMO- Extension of Service Intervals for an Inflatable Liferaft

The IMO issued a Circular forwarding a communication received from the Government of Denmark stating that the service interval for the new type of inflatable liferaft manufactured by Viking Life-saving Equipment A/S has been extended to intervals not exceeding 30 months with servicing to be carried out at approved servicing stations. Verification of the current state of the liferaft is to be performed on board at maximum intervals of 12 months. SLS.14/Circ.259 Source:HK Law
