Coast Guard Seeks to Extend Advance Notification Requirements

In the July 23, 2002, Federal Register, the Coast Guard seeks, by August 22, 2002, comments on its proposal to extend the 96-hour advance notification of arrival temporary rulemaking, put into place in response to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The Coast Guard is considering making this a permanent regulation. Source: Marine Legal Update
