Hapag-Lloyd, Hamburg Süd Restructure EPIC service

Maritime Activity Reports, Inc.

February 19, 2008

Hapag-Lloyd and Hamburg Süd are restructuring the EPIC service between Europe and Middle East/India. The shipping lines will deploy six 4,000 TEU ships with a weekly frequency in this region in future. Hapag-Lloyd will provide four and Hamburg Süd two units. The vessels each have 400 reefer plugs. The first departure is scheduled for the beginning of May.
