BP Shipping Orders VLITs

BP Shipping has ordered two Very Large Inland Tankers (VLIT’s) with a capacity of some 10,300 cu. m. each. The Breko shipyard from the city of Papendrecht (close and southeast to Rotterdam) is also going to build two smaller, 1,500 cu. m., tankers for lubricants. All four vessels will have double hulls.
Trite but true, the path to decarbonization has no ‘silver bullet’ solution.
